Join us for an evening of contemporary music for flute, viola, and cello!
The New York-based trio Eight Strings & A Whistle will present a program full of sensuous colors and textures. Featured works include the mystical "Third Eye" by Scarsdale based composer Pamela Sklar and "Three to Get Ready" by New Jersey composer David Bennett Thomas. The program is rounded out with Kyle Soliz's "Radiance," a work bursting with color; a deep and lyric trio by Hungarian composer Gyorgy Kosa; and Jorge Amado's "Eidos II," which will have you dancing in your seats.
Eight Strings & a Whistle has been committed to presenting and expanding the repertoire for the unique combination of flute, viola, and cello since 1998. A cutting-edge presence, the trio champions Baroque, Classical, and Romantic repertoire — and collaborates regularly with a wide roster of living composers, premiering and performing their pieces throughout the concert season.
Free and open to all. No registration required. Masks encouraged!
This program is supported by a generous gift from the Croton-Harmon High School Classes of 1981 and 1982.
