Research Requests

Are you working on a research project?

Patrons who are researching a topic of interest may request a selection of preliminary resources. Our reference librarians will select up to 10 appropriate resources, which can include print books, articles, or referrals to online databases or websites.

Librarians will make every effort to respond to research requests within 7-10 business days.

Students, please note: This is not a homework-doing service! We're happy to help with assignments in person, though; please come to the reference desk and we can provide appropriate guidance.

Librarians cannot provide specialized legal or medical research.

This service is also not intended for commercial or business purposes.

Croton Historic Newspapers Article Request:

Are you requesting an article from one of Croton's historic newspapers that may be relevant to your research? The library can retrieve articles from Croton's historic newspapers back to 1905. Please keep in mind that coverage before 1986 is not complete.

The library can provide up to one article per publication issue, and up to 10 articles per request.

Croton Harmon High School Yearbook Request:

Are you requesting information from one of the CHHS yearbooks? We have nearly complete coverage between 1942 and 2018.

The library can provide up to 10 pages of material per request.
