Join us with your family to celebrate the rich history of Juneteenth. Hosted by educator and writer Chanel Murray, we will:
- Explore the reasons behind Juneteenth and why we celebrate it as a holiday
- Listen to a personal narrative of an enslaved person
- Unpack General Order 3
- Unpack poems "Juneteenth, We Free?" and "We Resisted" from All Black Errythang Poems by Chanel Murray
- Discuss tips on how we can celebrate Juneteenth and support efforts for equity throughout the year
