Join the Library for a West African dance workshop with live drumming!

Dance instructor Gladys Lowe gives students the freedom to express themselves to the powerful beat of live drummers. Each step is broken down so all students — including those who have never danced before — can learn while having fun. 

This class is designed for anyone age 8+. No registration required. Free!

Gladys Lowe is originally from Cameroon, West Africa. African dance is rooted in her upbringing, and a symbol of her traditional heritage that she loves sharing with audiences of all ages. She has recently led programs at the Paige Fraser Foundation in the Bronx, Westchester Dance Artists, the Bethany Arts Center, Addi-tude Cultural Arts, and other venues in the Hudson Valley.
