Join us on Zoom for an interactive storytelling experience filled with humor, drama, and moments of wonder!
Experienced storyteller Anne Jennison will celebrate the rich and diverse cultural traditions of Native Americans, featuring stories from Abenaki and other Northeast Woodlands Indigenous traditions, accompanied by her rattle or frame drum.
Anne will guide listeners on a journey of traditional stories that explain everything from “How Turtle Flew South” to “How Gluskabe Defeated Winter” to “The Doll With No Face” to “How Hummingbird Put the Stars in the Sky."
Participants will be invited to join Anne in singing. She also teaches a short traditional Abenaki call-and-response phrase, creating a sense of community for sharing the storytelling.
Free and open to all! This program is suitable for all ages.
Registration is required and space is limited.
This program is a collaboration between Croton Free Library, Greenburgh Public Library, Ossining Public Library, Putnam Valley Library, and Warner Library.
