Join us for an afternoon of jazz, featuring the legendary Bill Crow and friends.
At the age of 97, Nyack resident Bill Crow could arguably described as the dean of American bass players. He has played with everyone from Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie to Croton's own Manny Albam. At this show, he'll be fronting a quartet comprised of piano, trumpet and drums.
This is the first of a four-part series offered in tribute to the late Manny Albam, a long-time Mount Airy resident, a renowned trombonist, arranger, and director of the BMI Composer's Workshop.
Future dates include:
- Jan. 7
- March 10
- May 12
This Jazz Sundays series is co-sponsored with the Library by the Village of Croton-on-Hudson's Arts & Humanities Council.
