The Taconic Opera is returning to the Croton Free Library!
The Taconic Opera opens its season with performances from the New York Opera Conservatory, the company’s young artist summer program. Four casts of two operas are performed free of charge.
The second opera performed by the NYOC is Gaetano Donizetti’s hilarious comedy, Don Pasquale. A bumbling buffoon is taught a life lesson as he is tricked into a fake marriage with a young woman who turns into a demanding shrew. Taconic Opera’s favorite hilarious mainstage buffo, Jorge Ocasio, comes into the Conservatory to sing the title role with the young casts!
Free and open to all! No tickets required.
